Annual Youth Night programme held in Durban

Youth of the Ummah (YOU), the Darul Ihsan youth wing, hosted a programme for our youth on 18 May 2019 at Masjidut Taqwa, Sea Cow Lake, Durban.

The programme that commenced after Taraweeh at 09:00 pm and concluded at approximately 12:00pm saw a wonderful turnout of 400 youth. The programme consisted of short motivational discourses by Maulana Muhammad Asmal, Mufti Ebrahim Backus, Mufti Bilal Jakhura and Brother Muhammad Patel who is a pilot with SAA. A lively Q&A session conducted by Mufti Zubair Bayat was the highlight of the night. The programme also featured a beautiful recitation of the Qur’an by Hafez Usamah Jadwat and the melodious voice of Qari Naeem Sheikh who rendered various Anasheed and Thikrullah. The event concluded with a meal and refreshments.
