Youth of the Ummah Buloogh Programme Met with Roaring Success
On Wednesday, 30 April, the Youth of the Ummah (YOU) hosted a Buloogh Programme at the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre in Sea Cow Lake, Durban, garnering the attendance of approximately 100 Muslims aged 10-15.
The event opened with an insightful and engaging presentation about the stages of puberty, Islamic definitions of maturity, and its accompanying responsibilities by Moulana Salman Kajee, Ameer of Zakariya Muslim School in Stanger. The speaker’s clear explanations and engaging style resonated tremendously with the young audience.
This was followed by another presentation by Moulana Maseehullah Amod Sb, who offered valuable guidance regarding the laws and rulings concerning puberty. He emphasised the moral and spiritual growth expected of young Muslim men, and the speaker’s dynamic approach and simplification of complex rulings was well-appreciated by participants.
Attendees were thereafter treated to refreshments, adding a warm, communal spirit to the event.
The overwhelming response and positive feedback from attendees and parents alike are a testament to the need and efficiency of such programmes.
The event was a resounding success, and the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre extends heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for all those who contributed; be it through sponsorship, support, or voluntary service.
The Darul Ihsan Youth Initiative events are free to attend and can be accessed by prior arrangement via the Darul Ihsan Centre.
