“How’z Your Aim” boys activity Day

Darul Ihsan Centre, through its ‘Youth of the Ummah’ (‘YOU’) department hosted a ‘How’z Your Aim’ one day activity programme for boys on Saturday, 09 April 2016 at ‘Infinite Adventures’ in Hillcrest.

Almost 30 boys, between the ages of 12 and 18, were commuted in the morning from Masjid ut Taqwa at Sea Cow Lake to ‘Infinite Adventures’ in Hillcrest for a fun-filled day of activities including rock climbing, obstacle course with the highlight being ‘Paintball’ shooting.

The boys were sub-divided into 4 tactical groups and, apart from being part of all physical activities, they had to use their acumen to strategize some of the days’ activities as a united team.

Four facilitators (of which 3 were Ulama) and two professional instructors from ‘Infinite Adventures’ coordinated the days’ activities with strict adherence to safety precautions and measures.

Lunch was served at 1:00 PM and Zuhr Salah was performed thereafter.

Advices were given on implementing the Sunnah and a talk was given on the harms of following fashion and the implications of this in the life of a believer. This was followed by a brief biography of Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA). The programme terminated at 2:30 PM with Dua and all departed for Masjid ut Taqwa.

There boys enjoyed themselves with keenness shown by many for the next adventure offering from ‘YOU’
